Property managers monitor building entrances of senior living and 55+ retirement communities with property management systems (PMS), ensuring the protection and security of residents. With the integration of a Kaba electronic access control system into a PMS, residents enjoy optimal security with the convenience of a single credential. Suited for both new construction and renovation, Kaba electronic locking solutions are cost-effective, easy to install, and provide management greater control and accountability—and are user-friendly for residents.

Common Areas

In addition to a resident’s room unit, senior living communities include several common areas that may be restricted at certain times during the day. Property managers can program InSync C locks to control access of common areas throughout a senior living facility. Using SAM RF software, the InSync CR works in conjunction with operable sliding glass doors, roll-up garage doors, parking arms, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and telephone entry systems. The InSync CL, CM, and CP models work with stand-alone, battery-operated exit devices located at pool gates, fitness rooms, laundry areas, stairwell doors, etc.

Admin Facilities

A senior living facility’s administration office is critical to the overall operation of the facility. The office acts as a welcoming place for potential residents and tenants to interact with the staff and also houses sensitive records and valuable assets. Many times, access to these spaces needs to be regulated by day, hour and authority level, plus monitored for accountability. All of Kaba’s multihousing solutions offer access scheduling, granting entrance to authorized users only at the specified times.
